My baby is 6 months old

My precious baby Eden turned 6 months old last week (9/3). It is so hard to believe. She is growing so fast. She is such a sweet and happy baby. Eden has grown quite fond of her Ma Ma. She crys for me anytime she hears or sees me, and yes, she calls out for ma ma. At first, I was not sure if she really knew what she was saying, but over the last few weeks we have confirmed that she definitely knows what she is saying.

We went for her 6 month checkup. She is healthy...just really big! She weighs 19 lbs 6 oz (95th percentile) and is 26 1/2 inches long (74th percentile). Her head circumference is 98th percentile - lots of brain in there!
Yes, Mommy likes bows!

Paige - Middle School

Paige started middle school (6th grade) last month. It is so hard to believe that she is that old. I will post a picture another time of her first day of school (don't have it on this pc). She is doing great and really likes it.

Addison - Pre-K and Gymnastics

Addison started Pre-K. She is such a big girl.

She also started taking gymnastics.

Can you say Olympics???

The cutest fat rolls in the world

Ever time I change this kid's diaper or give her a bath, I smile! She has the cutest rolls on her legs. I'm sure that Eden will not be happy with me one day for sharing a naked photo of her. But, how can you not share this??? I hope that it brightens your day like it does mine.

Major Road Trip

At the beginning of August, we took a major road trip. We basically drove from the Gulf of Mexico to Lake Erie - well almost :). Christian was very hesitant to take such a long car trip (about 23 hours total) with 3 kiddos. We packed our stuff including lots of food for the road and things to do in the car - DVD players, coloring books, aluminum foil for sculpting ideas (that was pretty neat!), road scavenger hunt (Addison still points out water towers when we are in the car thanks to this game), etc. Our first destination was Hendersonville, TN (just outside of Nashville) to see my older brother and his family. We had a wonderful time hanging out and visiting.

This is what we saw in the backseat for the majority of the trip!

We went to the Opry Land Hotel. It is amazing. Unfortunately, my brother and nephew could not join us because he had a football game to play at in a neighboring town.

Next, on to Canton, OH to see Christian's Grandmother and extended family. We had a big family gathering with the Miller side of the family lots of food and card games.

We celebrated Paige's 11th Birthday while we were there. Yes, she got a cell phone!
We took the girls to the Harry London chocolate factory for a tour and shopping. We love chocolate! Can you tell that they are 3 little monkeys?
Now on to the Whitmer side of the family for more great food and visiting. Here are the girls with their cousins Mandy & Dave.

We spent a day in Amish country. It was neat to show the kids the different way of life. We went on a horse drawn wagon ride through an exotic animal ranch. It was wonderful. There were so many animals...huge mules, osterich, deer and other animals like them, water buffalo, lamas (this was neat because Addison has always said, "I want a lama for a pet" - I'm not quite sure why???), camals, bison, beeffalo???(cross between cow and buffalo), etc.

And the real news is that the kids were unbelievably awesome. No fighting, no extra stops, no problems at all. At one point we went almost 6 hours between stops. That is pretty amazing with an 11 year old, 4 year old, and 5 month old. The diaper was pushing maximum capacity at that point :)!

July Trip to Baton Rouge, LA

We have had such a busy month. It has been wonderful. I'll catch you up on everthing that's been going on with us in the next few posts.

We have been on the road non-stop. At the end of July, we went to Baton Rouge to visit my Grandparents (in Baker). We took the older girls and my Dad to a waterpark/amusement park while Eden stayed with my Mom and Grandparents. We all had a wonderful time.

Trip to BIG D

We went to Dallas last week and weekend. The girls have been begging to go, and Christian had work meetings so it worked out great. Paige has lots of fond memories from when we lived there, and Addison was excited to see the hospital where she was born and the house that we used to live in (she only lived there for 3 weeks before we moved).

We went to the mall in Frisco...rode the carousel, Addison made a bunny at Build A Bear, and we did some shopping.

We met up with my friend Melissa for lunch. I so enjoyed getting to see her and her precious kids.

We went to Coppell to see our old house, play at the awesome park there (sorry forgot to take pictures), and go to the pool.

Friday night, we went out as a family to The Magic Time Machine restaurant. It was great, except Addison panicked every time that she saw Spider Man. Since the restaurant was in Addison, we found a sign for Addison to take a picture by.

Saturday, we went downtown and then stopped at the Dr Pepper museum and soda shop in Waco on our way home. We had a wonderful trip.

4th of July in Louisiana

We headed to Louisiana to celebrate the 4th of July and pick up our big girls who were with their grandparents. We had a great weekend.

At my parents (MiMi & Potsie's), the girls dressed up with clothes and wigs (including Eden), rode the 4-wheeler, and took a boat ride in the pond...

At Christian's parents (Grandma & Poppa), we had a BBQ (quite delicious) and swam. The guys played lots of basketball and ping pong.

Eden turned 4 months old (7/3)

Little Miss Eden turned 4 months old on July 3rd (I know I'm a little late...these pics were taken on that day). I'm not sure if Little and Eden can go in the same sentence. She is quite a big girl. One of the volunteers in the nursery at church referred to her as "The Big One". She has so many rolls. The pictures do not do them justice. She is a precious baby. She is happy and talks so much. She sleeps wonderful at night and loves to eat. She is enjoying playing with her toys and discovering new things. We are so thankful that God has blessed our life with her.
